Historically, this Parisian café and pastry shop gave birth to one of the first tea rooms in Paris. The ”salon de thé,” or tea room located in the upstairs lobby, had a definite advantage over the other cafés of its time; women could gather in complete freedom. - Switzerland; Known as today’s top chocolate producing country in the world; Switzerland makes the perfect destination for someone with a sweet tooth. Treat yourself to a world class spa experience at After the Rain Urban Day Spa for body treatments including chocolate body wraps and baths. Next, visit one of many of the famous chocolate museums around; Alprose Chocolate Museum in Shokoland presents the beginnings of chocolate from its origins to present day production. Cailler Broc chocolate making Factory allows visitors to explore the history of Cailler chocolate, watch it being processed, and samples are of course available. On request, it’s possible to have lunch in the factory restaurant. Get around using the GoldenPass Chocolate Train; day trips by train in luxury, first class surroundings, incorporating a visit to the Gruyères cheese factory at Gruyères, and a visit to the Cailler-Nestlé chocolate factory, complete with complimentary chocolate tastings. The train’s trip ends back in Montreux at the end of the day, and operates during the summer months.
